Care Instructions

Solid textile products

All solid textile products are hand cleaned using any detergent or soap with a white towel.

All mesh products can be machine-washed and hang-dried.

Zipout lining can also be machine-washed and hang-dried.

Please make sure to remove all armor and fasten the velcro properly before washing.

You need a race suit that works as hard as you do. The Murex Leather Race Suit from Six-Gear is built for riders across the USA who want real track protection with a custom fit. It starts at $899 and comes in one-piece and two-piece options in cowhide or kangaroo leather.

Riders who push it hard on the track or open roads will find everything they need in this suit.

Material and Build

The leather and construction you pick decide how well this suit holds up when it counts most.

Cowhide vs Kangaroo Leather

For high abrasion resistance at a low cost, the base Murex suit is constructed of cowhide leather. If you want more flexibility and a lighter weight, consider kangaroo leather. Kangaroo leather is thinner but also sturdier, providing the protection you need without extra weight. Whichever type you choose, both feature reinforced stitching on all main seams to keep the suit together under pressure.

Protective Armor

At checkout, riders can opt in for a two-piece outfit for greater flexibility when dismounting. You can add names to the back and/or pull out and wash the liner if you want. The back hump is standard, but you can swap it for a ventilated hump or add a hydro hump with a built-in bottle holder.

Key Features

  • CE-certified armor at shoulders, elbows, knees, and back
  • Choice of cowhide or kangaroo leather construction
  • One-piece and two-piece styles both available
  • Full, front, and partial perforation options for airflow control
  • Standard, ventilated, and hydro speed hump options
  • Temperature control inner mesh lining to pull sweat away from your skin
  • Anti-slip knee pads keep you locked to your bike during hard cornering
  • Breakaway zipper system for fast removal after a crash
  • Boot-latch hooks at the ankles for a clean connection with your riding boots
  • Add-on options include removable liner, name and number, suit cover, and hydro hump bottle
  • Available in sizes 34 to 60 (US-EU) with a custom measurement option
  • Matching gloves and boots available as add-ons

Safety

Every Murex Leather Race Suit passes CE certification standards before it ships. The armor inserts on the shoulders, elbows, knees, and back absorb impact energy so your body does not have to.

The seams are stitched with high strength bonded thread so the suit does not split apart when it hits the ground. If you go down at speed, a solid race suit is the only thing standing between your skin and the road. The Murex is built with that in mind from start to finish.

Size and Fit

Use a cloth tape to measure your chest, waist, and full sleeve before you order. Match those numbers to the Six-Gear size chart. If you fall between two sizes, check your measurements against both and go with the one that gives you the snugger fit through the shoulders and chest.

For the best possible fit, choose the custom measurement option at checkout and submit your body measurements using the custom size form. A race suit should feel snug but never tight enough to cut off movement. Your arms should reach the handlebars without pulling at the shoulders.

Who This Is Built For

Track day riders who want a fully custom leather suit at a fair price will find the Murex hard to beat. Weekend racers who ride both street and track will like the one-piece design that keeps everything connected.

Riders who want a two-piece setup for more flexibility off the bike can choose that option at checkout. If you want your name on the back or a liner you can pull out and wash, you can add those when you build your suit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What leather does the Murex Leather Race Suit use?

The Murex uses genuine cowhide leather as standard. You can upgrade to kangaroo leather at checkout for a lighter and more flexible build.

Is the Murex Leather Race Suit CE certified?

Yes. The suit comes with CE-certified armor at the shoulders, elbows, knees, and back. The armor sits in fixed pockets so it does not shift during a crash.

Can I get the Murex in a custom size?

Yes. Custom sizing is available at checkout for an added fee. You can take your body measurements on the product page using the custom size form.

What’s the difference between a one-piece and a two-piece?

A one-piece is a single piece of clothing, like a racing suit. A two-piece consists of a separate jacket and trousers which zip up at the waist. The two-piece can be easily put on and taken off, and it is more versatile for mixed riding.

Can you then get matching gloves and boots for the Murex suit?

Matching gloves and boots are available as add-ons when you build your suit at checkout.
